Are you experiencing poor light output? If you're like most people who contact JB-Lightsdesign for help, you own a great car, like an Audi, Mercedes, or BMW, with not-so-great headlights. The light output has deteriorated to the point where driving in the dark is no longer enjoyable. Not to mention: it has become downright dangerous. This usually has little to do with the light bulbs; in 99% of cases, the poor light output is due to the fact that the reflective surfaces inside the projector have eroded and burned out due to UV radiation, heat generation, and pollutants. And if the reflective surfaces no longer reflect, then even the brightest bulb in the world won't help much.

Eroded reflective surface:

The options. In this situation, you have two options:

1. You can go to the car dealership, who will only sell you complete headlights. That would guarantee two things: you'd pay a lot of money for parts you don't need, and you'd get a projector of the same type that got you into this mess in the first place (the infamous Hella E55).
2. You can keep your headlight and most of your money and simply replace the faulty part: the projector. This is easy; on many headlights you only need to turn a few nuts on the back of the assembly. Besides saving a lot of money, you will also enjoy a light output that is literally leaps and bounds ahead of what you are used to. Effortless retrofitting
Based on years of research and development, the EvoX-R 2.0 was designed for super-easy replacement of Hella E55. Once the headlight is open, you can place and connect it in minutes without special tools.

AFS compatible with mods
The EvoX-R 2.0 is compatible with AFS headlights (cornering function), but requires some modifications to the mounting points. Beginners retrofitting AFS headlights are recommended to purchase the original EvoX-R 1.0 instead, which fits perfectly with AFS headlights straight out of the box (the 1.0 only accepts D2S bulbs).

Optional D2S extension cables
If you opt for a D2S setup, you can avoid having to tinker with a DIY solution by adding a pair of D2S extension cables to your order. These cables ensure absolutely effortless wiring. Plug-and-play.
