Headlight Restoration
The headlight lenses are among the most stressed optical components on your vehicle.
- The surface of your headlight lenses is subjected to additional stress due to the sun's UV rays, sand, and small stone chips.
- Fine cracks form on the outer layer.
- Yellowing occurs
- Cleaning with solvent-based substances (nitro thinner or brake cleaner) must be avoided under all circumstances, as this will make the surface cloudy or completely destroy it!
- Attempts to process it have already been made, but without success.
Don't forget to properly care for your newly refurbished headlights; this will extend their lifespan. Below you will find information on care products for the rubber seals and headlight lenses .
It is possible that traces of the old condition may still be visible after the reprocessing.
- Holograms or fine scratch marks in the sun
- Stone chips cannot always be completely smoothed by grinding, in order to avoid negatively affecting the strength of the glass or creating waves in the glass. In this case, a small, soft edge will remain after vapor deposition.
- Porous rubber seals around the headlight, which are mounted purely for visual purposes as body seals (not the sealing of the headlights themselves)
The discs have been refurbished to the best possible standard, but they are not new.
